What's In a Name?

Good Morning Blogger Friends! I posted a couple of fun things that I recently acquired below. While you peruse the photos I wonder if you might help me think of of some clever cottage names. I have been distressed by the fact that I simply can not come up with a suitable name for our little home. Fair warning: My husband will not go for anything too "girly" so that rules out a name that includes the word "bungalow" Shucks.... If you do have a clever name that comes to mind, do share! If not, I'm sure the perfect name will eventually come to me, probably once I have stopped trying. :-)

This pretty little oil came from my wonderful sister who no longer had room for it. Not to worry, I know just the spot to hang it!

Believe it or not, I got several of these little lanterns from Ikea. They were just a couple dollars a piece. I haven't quite decided where to put them yet, but I think they are soooo cute!

This little basket was another hand-me-down from my sister. It was filled with blue silk flowers which I swapped out with this sea grass & shells for a more coastal look.

I purchased a couple of these little wooden side tables online and they arrived broken! When I called the company to ask for an exchange they told me to just throw them out and that they would send me two more! WHAAAAAAT? Throw them out? No way! I just got out some wood glue and white paint and put them back together. I think they look dandy!

Some Inside Updates:

While I still have a ways to go before we are officially all moved in, but I thought I would include some pictures of where we are at with the inside.

You'll remember the "before kitchen picture"

Here it is after I put a little yellow paint on the walls. Take a look at that lighting fixture!

And here is the most up to date picture that I have. Its feels a lot more inviting with a little bit of color. :-)

Thanks for stopping by!

I'd go with 'Scotty Shack'.

I need to get back to painting the other rooms in my house. I'm looking at a shade of yellow for the office, but lighter than your kitchen.
