I'm sure you realize now why my husband calls it "the brown box". When we purchased it, it didn't have much curb appeal But what it did have going for it was location!
As you can see, its got a distant, yet nice view of the water.
It's also located in a wonderful commercial fishing village (Maine's Oldest). Cundy's Harbor has approx. 500 residents, one church, one volunteer fire department, two original general stores, and several small restaurants serving up fresh Maine seafood.
So here you can see what the living room looked like before. It had a very dark barn board type paneling on the walls. All the switch plates were black too. Ughhh.

The kitchen had an interesting choice for a wall paper border and what you can't see hanging from the ceiling is a wagon wheel light fixture.

Lastly, this is one of two bedrooms (they look pretty much the same).
